As well as the pristine beaches, the tremendous swimming pool, and the restaurant providing excellent cuisine, the surroundings comprise an 1,111 -acre (450-ha) nature reserve that is home to 1,800 mostly indigenous floral species and animals such as lemurs, birds-of-paradise, and several types of chameleon. Lemurs also frolic in the hotel’s own oasis, a landscaped garden where vacationers can have some afternoon tea surrounded by the lush vegetation and the beautiful sounds of Madagascar’s wildlife.
